As is common to most beach holidays, it is the beach itself first and foremost which offers the simplest activities, whether this be sunset strolls, early morning swims or simply time spent lazing in the sun. The deserted soft white sands of Mozambique’s beaches with the gentle lapping of the Indian Ocean offer this in abundance.
Beyond this swimming and snorkelling are must do activities wherever you find yourself. The warm ocean and its abundant, tropical fish life are reward in themselves. The more adventurous will enjoy diving on the off shore reefs, deep sea fishing or even casting offshore for saltwater fly-fishing. The larger resorts offer other motorised activities, and the populated islands offer an opportunity to interact with local subsistence cultures, or you could simply relax with a good book.
