Safaris / Botswana

Nestled in the heart of southern Africa, land-locked Botswana is often considered the wildlife gem of the African continent.

The reason for this lies in the spectacular and unique Okavango Delta and adjacent Linyanti-Chobe complex which contains the world’s most extensive inland delta and Africa’s largest population of elephant, lion, wild dog and many other species. So important is it, that it now forms the core of a vast transfrontier conservation area that joins wilderness areas in Namibia, Angola, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Botswana.

With only 1.8 million people and nearly 40% of the entire country set aside for wildlife, Botswana is Africa as it once was: vast herds of game move in age old migrations across a diverse and splendid savannah and the country remains the premier wilderness to experience the raw power of the African savannah.

We believe that the best safaris across the pristine ecosystems of northern Botswana combine the Okavango Delta and the Linyanti region with the Kalahari Desert in a stay of at least 7-10 nights. This allows prime and varied wildlife viewing at any time of the year as well as thorough exposure to Botswana’s indigenous cultures.
