The bush camps offered by safari operators in Zambia range from very rustic structures erected each year after the wet season, to luxurious canvas and timber constructions. Our choice of accommodation is based primarily on location and game viewing potential as well as the standard of guiding available and no one itinerary is the same, each being meticulously tailor made to fit our clients requirements.
In South Luangwa National Park we use Kalamu Lagoon Camp, Kapamba, Chindeni and Kuyenda, all of which are remotely situated and allow unfettered exploration of large areas of the Luangwa Valley. Every location is unique, but all provide great game viewing. In Kafue National Park we use Wilderness Safaris camps on the productive Busanga Plains – Shumba, Kapinga and Busanga Bush Camp – and at the confluence of the Lufupa and Kafue Rivers – Lufupa Tented Camp. Combining the two areas gives a far great array of activities and diversity.
At the inimitable Victoria Falls there is a vast array of accommodation options, but we prefer to use smaller lodges outside of the immediate area of the Falls to get away from the hubbub of helicopters, microlites and other noise pollution. Toka Leya is situated inside Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park while The River Club is located slightly further upstream opposite Zimbabwe’s Zambezi National Park.
